PROVERB 11:2

Proverb 11:2. “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”
February 11th, A Proverb a day.
• This journey of life boils down to learning how to shelf pride and practice humility.
• Whether you are working on being sober, on yourself, your relationships, your faith, your boundaries, your mental health; humility should come first in every step you take.
• We live in a selfish world. Everyone is consumed by their status, their image, their achievements. While I do believe in self worth, I also believe in keeping it humble. Using your experiences to help others, rather than gloat on the achievement.
• There’s Wisdom again. Are we seeing a pattern in these Proverbs?
• Instead of being prideful, be wise and use what you have learned for good. Make a difference in someone else’s life, using the achievement. That will give you a higher self worth than pushing your good-doings upon everyone in a prideful way. God gives us the struggles and the battles to learn and grow, then to share that with others in humility.
• The pride conversation makes me think of @dalebrisby and his Bible studies. This is something he shares often and has been on a journey with. His insight on being a Godly man and putting the pride to the side, is something he has been working on and he shares his struggles and learned experiences. If you aren’t signed up for receiving texts from Dale himself, go do it and you’ll receive the bible study link. Well Dale yeah!
• We are all sinners, but God rewards those that share his teachings upon others with humility and grace. Go share it!
•Happy Sunday and Godspeed to ya’ll 🤍
• Thank you to @photos_by_nessa_grande for sharing some ranchy photos with me. This gal is a wonderful example of a SOBER COWBOY out creating art the cowboy way.
